About Us

The ARK Fostercare Program was created for several purposes: providing foster care for canines and felines at no-kill shelters, educating and assisting with “free” litters within the community, and providing care for stray animals.

ARK Fostercare hopes to increase the community’s awareness of several concerns. The first concern is that the statistics of animals “for free” are mostly the animals that end up dumped or neglected - emotionally or physically. Within this first concern, an ever-mounting problem that physical neglect usually includes the lack of these animals being neutered or spayed, producing yet another “for free” litter. The second concern is that the mothers of these unwanted litters are not spayed and many times have multiple litters before spaying them is addressed, if spaying is ever addressed.
